Hamlin's Representatives Release Statement

On Tuesday evening, the representatives for injured Seahawks safety Ken Hamlin released their first public statement.

Mike Sando of the Tacoma News Tribune posted the following official statement from Ken Hamlin's representatives on his blog on Tuesday evening:

October 18, 2005 - Austin, Texas- Ken Hamlin, Seattle Seahawk safety, remains hospitalized in serious but stable condition after a violent assault attack Monday morning that resulted in serious injuries.

"Ken is in stable condition but remains under observation. He is conscious and has his family with him in this time of need," said Lawrence Temple, Hamlin's agent.
Temple added, "Ken and his family appreciate the well-wishes but ask that people respect his privacy in this time of recovery."

"Ken is cooperating fully with law enforcement in this matter," said Temple. "It is unfortunate and unfair that some people have accused him of any criminal conduct. Ken has retained legal counsel, Seattle attorney John Wolfe, to defend himself against any false accusations."

The third-year pro from Arkansas was assaulted outside a Seattle nightclub hours after the Seahawks 42-10 victory over the Houston Texans. Hamlin made 5 tackles in the win Sunday night.
